Born out of the mania that was Star Wars, the plastic lightsaber was once a very popular kids toys. It's now a very meaningless weapon, that can also be used as a light (if you find one with batteries included). Keep in mind that when it comes to lightsabers, newer does not equal better. Sabers from the 80's or 90's are more sturdy than their 2000's counterparts, due to companies wanting to make more money by using less product to create these melee weapons that made little kids smile with glee.
